As the owner of Lake Whitney Pet Resort I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and provide you with the comfort that your pet will receive the finest care and accommodations during their stay with us.

My name is Linda Konrad, and I have worked for the U.S. Postal Service along with telecommunications and the construction industry for many years. I have also worked in the pet industry all of my life.

I have two children that I adore, Blake 20 and Hayden 18, who also work at the Pet Resort. We raise Australian Shepherds and Pembroke Welsh Corgi’s who we show and handle professionally in the AKC show ring.

My passion has always been the care of animals and I feel honored to care for yours. Besides my family employees, I select my staff very carefully to ensure high quality care is provided by all of our personnel. All staff completes a detailed application and interview process and once hired, is required to participate in continuing education to better serve our clients. I subscribe to numerous publications such as Dog & Kennel, Your Dog, and Dog World in an effort to keep abreast of the latest in canine and feline information and continue gaining knowledge in the animal field. Our facility maintains a library of various books and articles on animals for reference in our efforts to improve and maintain our kennel. Our facility is an active member in the American Boarding Kennel Association (ABKA), the ASPCA and the Whitney Chamber of Commerce. We also keep up to date on the latest goings on regarding local diseases by keeping in touch with our local veterinary offices which we speak to on a regular basis. Please feel free to make an appointment to tour of our facility. I'd love to meet you and help you feel at ease when leaving your pets with us.

Our Pet Resort is located on a beautiful 15 acres with plenty of trees and foliage for a peaceful & enjoyable stay. Our facility offers personalized, loving care for your pets. We treat all pets as if they were our own. Each pet is housed in spacious climate controlled suites, given two meals a day, and rotated out to the grassy play yards for daily exercise (time and weather permitting). We clean and disinfect twice each day to ensure your pet has a clean safe area. Our staff carefully monitors behavior, including eating and restroom habits to ensure happy and healthy visitors. Should we feel your pet has a health concern, we will attempt to contact you. We will also contact the vet of your choice for a consultation over the phone. Should your vet or our staff feel a clinic visit is necessary; we will take your pet to one of the local clinics in the area and follow the advice of the veterinarian, including the purchase and administration of medicine. The pet owner is responsible for all clinic and medicine fees upon picking up your pet. We administer meds twice a day at no additional charge. Any needs beyond twice a day may incur an additional fee. Please inform our staff AND your vet if you have a monetary limit on treatment of your pet.
